A club that runs on volunteers has many tasks and little time. The coach wants to know who is coming. The treasurer wants to know who has paid. The competition secretary wants the pools finished. None of them wants to search through screens about someone else's task. That is what Grip op Sport is made for.
What is Grip op Sport?
Grip op Sport is software for sports clubs. Members, classes, competitions and pools, membership fees and the club website are in one place, instead of spread across spreadsheets, chat messages and paper.
The name says what it is about: grip. You see who is a member, which class is when, which tournament is coming up and what is still open. You no longer have to ask three different people.
One screen per role
You decide which groups your club has and which sections each group sees. Whoever belongs to a group sees the sections of that group. This gives everyone their own overview:
- The coach sees the classes and the groups.
- The treasurer sees the membership fees.
- The competition secretary sees the tournaments and the pools.
You put a new volunteer in the group that fits. That person does not have to search through sections they do not need.
Why I make it
Volunteers want to spend their time on the sport, not on admin. That is why I make Grip op Sport. Less admin means tasks are done faster and less is tracked twice.
Everything in one place also means everyone works with the same data. Members see the sections their club has switched on in the app.
I test my choices against one question: does this help a volunteer finish sooner?
Who is it for?
For clubs that run on volunteers. Every sport has its own habits, such as belts in judo or pools at a tournament, and Grip op Sport takes that into account. Whether your club is small or large, the idea stays the same: one place, one screen per role.
Remember the name
Grip op Sport: less admin, everything in one place, one screen per role. Do you know a club that runs on volunteers? Let them read this.
