Do you build software for sports clubs, or does your club want to connect Grip op Sport to another package? Grip op Sport has an open API. Every club decides for itself what each integration is allowed to do.
An open API
With the REST API you read and change a club's data: members, groups, family relationships, subscriptions, invoices, classes, levels and skills, events, volunteer rotas, equipment and more. The API follows fixed conventions, so an integration works predictably.
- Keys per integration, with each key holding only the permissions it needs
- Lists with pagination and a filter on what has changed since a given moment
- Clear error messages in a fixed format
- Safe retries: a request with the same key is never carried out twice
Webhooks
Want to know when something changes, such as a new member or a paid invoice? With webhooks, Grip op Sport lets your system know right away. Every message is signed, so you can verify that it really comes from Grip op Sport.
AI assistants
Through the Model Context Protocol (MCP), an AI assistant such as Claude can read and improve the content of the club website. Whatever an assistant writes is saved as a draft. Publishing is always done by a person.
The club stays in control
An integration only works with a key that an administrator of the club creates, with the permissions the club chooses. A key only sees the data of that one club and can be revoked at any time.
The documentation
The technical documentation describes every part of the API, the permissions per key and how to connect an AI assistant. The documentation is in English.
Working together
Want to build an integration for several clubs, or is something missing from the API? Get in touch. We are happy to think along, and a good question from a partner makes the API better for everyone.
